In collaboration with COLLINS, the Twitch in-house design team developed a brand refresh to better reflect the Twitch community, the most dynamic, moving, changing, creating, doing community on the Internet.
Part of the massive system was to develop an ownable illustration style inspired by video game sprites. The following boards were provided by COLLINS to set the tone:

As a fan of MVC2, I immediately recognized the source of the references from COLLINS.
