Twitch

2017–2019

In 2017 I joined the the world class creative team at Twitch as a Motion Graphics Designer to work with the mighty Matt Gravish and Tim Reynolds. A challenging two years on hard mode. GG!

TwitchCon 2018

Every year the Twitch community congregates in meatspace to celebrate the culture of multiplayer entertainment. I worked with Freeman, ETS and Twitch Studios to bring all the broadcast, stage, and party graphics to life.

All your base.

Twitch x Signalnoise

2018

Twitch x Signalnoise was a first-ever collaboration between Twitch Private Label and an external artist. I had the privilege of crafting a series of stories that ran on Twitch’s IG. For a detailed breakdown of all the products, check out the massive case study here.

Twitch Crates

Twitch Crates was an attempt to add a familiar game mechanic, the “loot drop”, to the experience of purchasing games and in-game content on Twitch. I was a part of designing the crate and storyboarding the opening sequence, but the people at Skyreacher took over and produced a sequence 100x better than what I could ever do.

My first attempt (above) and two more (below) with a stronger sci-fi slant, which didn’t get very far.

The final crate design from Skyreacher. Sure looks familiar…

A couple months after launch someone let me make this Halloween themed opening animation. Environment and zombie hand by the prolific Tim Reynolds.

Video Producer

Video Producer is a set of tools that gives creators more control over pre-recorded content, giving them the ability to schedule first-viewing events, creating an experience much like an opening night for a movie.

Charity Cheermote

Riffing off the existing Bits cheermotes, these charity cheermotes weren’t met with that glowing light of approval and were subsequently banished into the darkness of exile. RIP.
